Women Coping With The Frustration Of Extended Singleness

As I travel across the country teaching at single’s conferences and workshops, I hear a recurring theme from single women: “I’ve now been single longer than I planned, and I’m tired of it” and “I’m tired of always being the bridesmaid and never the bride.” I have been a married man for more than twenty years, yet I am sensitive to this subject. My college background is psychology. Growing up as the only boy in a house with seven women (six sisters and a mom), I learned some things about the female factor. I don’t claim to be an expert, but I believe I can provide helpful advice from where I sit. This book provides suggested solutions to those single women who are faced with the frustration of wanting to be married and yet not being so for various reasons. My desire is that this book will become a conversation piece in single’s groups, book clubs, and ultimately on Oprah, as many single women realize that they can have fulfilled lives as single women. Jesus promised each of us an abundant life, not a frustrated one.
