There Is No Crown Without The Cross

From the earliest records of civilization, man has always sought “shortcuts” to make things easier in the journey through life. Man always wants all of God’s blessings and benefits, but he does not want the required responsibilities or consequences attached. God’s moral absolutes complicate man’s dilemma. This book provides examples of the many ways that man tries to circumvent God’s unchanging purpose for man. It also illustrates God’s reactions to man’s inherent weaknesses through the events recorded in Scripture, in history, and in present-day repetitions. Man desires to wear the Crown, but he does not want to endure the Cross, either symbolically or otherwise, as a prerequisite. Man urgently needs a wake-up call, and God is giving perhaps the last one.
