His Power Not Mine

The apostle Peter tells us that God’s divine power has granted us everything pertaining to life and godliness. By His grace, God offers all we need to do His work. With that provision, we are enabled by His power to accomplish His will and purpose in our daily lives. Paul said in the same way we began with Christ, we should continue with Him. If we started by grace through faith, we need to recognize it is by grace we should live. Jesus wants us to have the simple abundant life He offers. Too many times we miss out by attempting to accomplish for Him in our own strength what He wants to empower us to do. Trying to do for God what He desires to do through us can be a frustrating existence. Living in His power, not ours, is the key to a life of meaning and purpose.
