Beyond The Yellow Ribbon

Over a half million combat veterans have returned from combat duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. Thousands of military personnel are atill preparing to deploy to combat. Few communities in the U.S. escape the direct impact of the deployment and return of combat veterans, yet most people are at a loss about how to welcome to the new generation of veterans and care for their families. This book details the challenges that face combat veterans and their families, as well as provides guidelines for churches and communities who want to help veterans feel at home again.

This book is designed to bring understanding to those who care for the soldiers and their families about the challenges of military life, the impact of combat upon a returning veteran, and issues that stress military families in our midst.
