Article 119 : Manslaughter

What appears to be an open-and-shut case of manslaughter caused by an American soldier’s drunken driving and being tried by general court-martial in 1962 Germany becomes a much more complex matter as the assigned defense counsel, Lieutenant Charles Kimbrough, and his prostitute-lover, Brigitta, investigate. The outcome, just as the court-martial is to decide its verdict, confounds expectations, as does the resolution of Charles’s and Brigitta’s affair.
