THE WISDOM OF JAMES: Word and Deed for the Diaspora is the fruit of a series of sermons that has been tested in different congregations in Brazil and in North America. It deals with the entire text of the Epistle of James as a reflection on what the brother of Jesus wrote to the Church in the Diaspora. James writes as a pastor to his flock and is concerned with the various trials and temptations that the Church was facing in those years of heavy persecution, but also under visible growth as she spread around the known world of the day. James’ main goal is that the followers of Jesus should walk in faith but also in deed.
