Time To Dance

Dr. Rhea Rhymer, obstetrician and gynecologist at St. Michael’s hospital, awakens to find her head in a restraining device, her right arm immobilized. She struggles desperately to throw off the nightmare, then begins to realize she is on intravenous. Her lengthy hospital stay proves rewarding: she falls in love with the attending orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Michael Braemer. His skillful team saved her life the night they brought her from the ski hill. They discover their compatibility in faith and their desire to serve. Her vision takes her to Africa to train midwives; his takes him to various medical facilities to teach and research. He shares her grief over the loss of her parents. She is not convinced they were hit by a landmine in the Congo, and fears they have been apprehended. When her brother returns from Australia, they pressure the government of Canada to pursue the investigation. She discovers that her high school sweetheart, now a prominent lawyer, has kept up on the news of her parents. He is ready to go ahead with the investigation. He is also ready to renew a relationship with Dr. Rhea, much to the chagrin of her now fiance, Dr. Michael Braemer. The future looks bleak when it is discovered that Michael has a particularly aggressive form of cancer.
