They Suffer In Faith

It is difficult to imagine the degree of poverty and suffering that occur on a daily basis in the country of Haiti, located only five hundred miles from the border of the United States. My medical mission work in Haiti has allowed God to use service to others to transform me into the being He created me to be. Through service to the Haitian people, I have come to know the character of Christ. They Suffer in Faith is a compilation of stories of my work in Haiti. The Haitian people have shown me great faith in the face of great suffering. Through their faith I have been inspired to allow God to transform me-a process marked by tears and joy. It is a story of great love…my love for the Haitian people, their love for me, and the love of God that will not let me go.
