Jesus comes to us to embolden us, not to anesthetize us.
That means the calculus of life is not security, but God-driven risk. This kind of think-ing means that we approach our families, churches, jobs, free time, hobbies, and goals with God’s glory on our mind. Risky Gospel attempts to wake Christians up from their serenity-seeking coma by grouding their faith not in the world of sin but in the world of Scripture. As we see in the example of Christ and his apostles, the gos-pel is worth living for, sacrificing for, and dying for. It is the fulfillment of everything we seek. All that we could ever want is already here, and it is given us through the Holy Spirit.
