The plot unfolds like a mystery as he discovers previously unknown truths that improve his poor self-esteem and take away his regret. Unfortunately, a series of disasters set him further and further from his goals of righting wrongs and providing wealth for his future family. And after he is committed to a mental hospital and later thrown in jail, things turn out much worse than they were originally.
