For we have been mortally framed; we all know it. We were born to it, and will die from it.

Every one of us abides inescapably beneath the weight of that pitiless sentence.

But that sentence may not contain the last word.

Indeed, it does not, for the Master is the first and last Word. And he has something to say about it.

Therefore, our mortal framing need only be part of the finished portrait…
