How does a single Christian woman live her life in a way that displays her faith? Debra faced this dilemma, uncertain of how her life could be a positive testimony for Christ. She considered her life a complete failure after divorce destroyed her family. She accepted a position as an ER nurse in a remote part of Alaska to seek God’s healing. Debra’s heart’s desires seemed deferred so long that her hopes for a meaningful life were faded. The Alaskan wintertime challenged her with harsh weather, darkness, loneliness and long working hours.
