Jesus In A Haystack

Who was Peter, born to his father’s devil? To not have a family was the horror of his daily existence. He had smiled at his own evil, like his dad, until he had met his demon. He had outgrown his Jesus neurosis that had marked his life, and now he embraced the Holy Spirit to make real, himself. He’d become Peter, the believer. He thought of his college years, when his roommate called him a devil with a Christ complex. Now, he was free to feel the blessedness of himself in Jesus. Truly, Peter thought, the crucified feeling in Jesus, like his own, was at the heart of human meaning and was expressed in the loving affirmation of suffering in Him. He knew the evil from his dad’s nature had given him a journey through his own soul’s love.
