“Inspirations From Downrange” is an encouragement to the body of Christ. It is a collection of poems and short stories. As the name suggests it was written downrange in Afghanistan by someone that has experienced the highs and lows of deployments. Although this book is a wonderful encouragement to soldiers going downrange either for the first or fifth time, it is not limited only to soldiers, as it addresses other issues in the body of Christ as well. The style in “Inspirations From Downrange” is different from traditional poetry, but the flow of words brings out the revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It contains inspirational words such as “It’s a set up” that speaks to those affected by hurricane Katrina and “My bleeding Pen” that addresses the root cause of oppression and suppression.
