He Shall Glorify Me

In He Shall Glorify Me, Dr. W. Gary Crampton studies the doctrine of the Holy Spirit as taught in the Holy Scripture and summarized in the Westminster Standards (the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger and Shorter Catechisms). The title of this book is derived from the words of Jesus Christ in John 16:14, where the Lord Himself gives us the very best synopsis of the person and work of the third person of the Trinity. In chapter 1, the author first investigates the Bible’s teaching on the person of the Spirit, concluding that He is fully divine; He possesses all of the perfections attributed in Scripture to the deity. In chapters 2-4, Dr. Crampton explicates what Scripture has to say about the Spirit’s work. Throughout these chapters we see that the Holy Spirit’s ministry is selfeffacing and Christocentric. He does not seek His own glory, but Christ’s.
