He Is Able

The graduates of Trinity College have always believed “He Is Able!” Graduates have gone around the world. In 1940 the class valedictorian wrote, “It has been said that Luther revolutionized the world. It was not him but Christ working through him. The time is ripe for another Luther,Wesley, or Moody. There is room for another name in this list. There is a challenge facing us!” Indeed, there was another name to be added, and it was among that student’s graduating class: Billy Graham! The dream of Dr.William T.Watson was to prepare young people for the work of the gospel ministry. Combined with his vision for a Bible college was his vision of ministry to the “snowbirds.” These two ministries were built on the foundation of the St. Petersburg Gospel Tabernacle. Historical notes of the times help the reader understand the world in which Trinity was founded.
