Glimpses From State Street

A loving community can make all the difference for life in a small town. Wayne Ballard learned this when he found himself serving in Bristol, a city that straddles the line between Virginia and Tennessee. After a previous place of service had left him feeling tired and ineffective, Ballard sought affirmation and healing. As an interim pastor at First Baptist Church of Bristol, he found the community he needed to revive his enthusiasm for ministry and encourage others in their relationships with God.
