This book deals with two subjects-investment and faith-that are inextricably linked. The idea that investment and faith are intimately related may not be immediately evident to the busy and passionate securities analyst or portfolio manager. It may seem anathema to the clergyman who reads 1 Timothy 6:10, “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” (NIV). The relationship between investment and faith however, begins with the fact that both disciplines engage us in an endless search for truth across an ever-changing landscape. Ralph’s need to understand the mysteries of money drove him into the investment business soon after his post-graduate studies. At the age of 40, restless to uncover more of the secrets of life he embarked on a journey of faith that proved foundational to his career, his family life and his personal growth as a human being.
