Annabella

This love story takes place in pre-WWII Europe, first beginning in Panama in the summer of 1935, where Sonny James meets Annabella. The character of Sonny James is a fictitious name of the author’s late father who kept a journal of his stay in Panama in 1935 and his ten-week bicycle trip though Europe with classmates from medical school in the summer of 1937. After Panama, there were two years of no communication-at least that’s what Sonny and Annabella thought. Each thought the other had gone their respective ways. “Annabella” combines factual pre-WWII European history with this bittersweet love story.
