Jay and Lila Cooper are back for a third adventure, this time in search of a young treasure-seeker who was driven by his ambitions to the bottom of the pit, never to return. In their struggle to understand what happened to him, the Coopers learn of a greedy, man-eating creature known as Ha-Raphah. Though unsure of what he is, Jay and Lila are certain he is extremely dangerous. As always, this does not stop them from trying to uncover the truth.
