Painting In The Dark

Reputation. We live to build it and prepetuate it. But tending to our image is a spiritual cul-de-sac, a relationship-draining, love-limiting, dangerously habitual way to emptiness. Performance junkies aren’t the only ones who get caught in the game; we’re all pretenders in some way. And eventually our humanness will show. We will fail, or someone will dirty our name, or our performance will fall short. When it does, then we’re left with what is truest about us. And at the botton of our circumstances, we find that truth is rarely what we thought.
