Flight Into Sanity

A true account of the author’s journey through mental illness and alcoholism brought on through an abusive upbringing that included her loss of a parent at an early age, physical, mental and sexual abuse at the hands of relatives, and her own encounters with mental illness within the family. This highly detailed narrative takes the reader on a journey through decades of dealing with the effects of the abuse, but ultimately seeking survival, recovery, reconciliation, and eventual triumph. Today, the author is able to reflect back on her experiences and share her story in the hope that a light will shine for others on their path to healing and recovery.
