“IN EARLY 2013, I learned the Morning News of my town, Florence, South Carolina, was looking for writers, creating what they called the Citizen Columnist Corps. I sent in some writing samples, was called in for interviews, and was chosen to join the team. Since then I have written over 150 articles and have enjoyed the work immensely. My style is to tell a history, sometimes with information I don’t think most people know, with some humor and personal stories along the way. My bona fides are a lifetime of world travel, personal experience running a small business, a bit of politics, and a knack for curious observation.-
