Law Liberty And The Pursuit Of Godliness

The purpose of this book is to bring a love for the Word into focus for believers. Far too many Christians are caught in the pendulum swing from legalism to license. Teach about such subjects as the Sabbath or tithing, and you will learn on which side of the pendulum believers find themselves. Likewise, if you teach about faith, miracles, or tongues, you will discover the doctrines that subtly become ironclad belief systems. Early in my walk with the Lord, a mentor amazed me by saying he was beyond the doctrine of the Trinity, that he believed in the “four”-nity doctrine. He explained that he meant the Word, which is not a “dead” document but is “quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Heb. 4:12). After more than thirty years, I continue to find the Bible to be a living book. Pursue your liberty in Christ through the Word, and you will find He has indeed given us “all things that pertain unto life and godliness” (2 Peter 1:3).
