Rescuing Jesus From The Christians

Biblical scholar and Southern Baptist minister Clayton Sullivan brings together the latest work on the historical Jesus and offers four new strategies to help Christians find faith that is consistent with the best scholarship available. Sullivan looks at some major questions – what was Jesus’ main message, what was his attitude toward non-Jews, and more – and uses these to propose ways to rescue Jesus from the creedal prison that orthodox Christianity has put him in.
